Specific Aims Feedback Opportunity

Getting R-level NIH funding is a major hurdle that is just as much about how you write the proposal as what you propose. Learning to write a killer Specific Aims page is critical. Here’s an opportunity to get no-nonsense feedback from the perspective of a grant reviewer in the Exercise Oncology field.

What: Feedback on a Specific Aims Page in the form of a 15 minute one-on-one meeting between the Aims Writer and the Aims Reviewer.

Who: Assistant Professors working on a grant proposal for submission after May 2024 are eligible to submit Aims. Established investigators with relevant expertise and a history of extramural funding will serve as Aims reviewers. Each Specific Aims page will be reviewed by one senior investigator.

When:  LOI Form: April 15, 2024

Final Specific Aims Due: May 1, 2024

Discussion to Review Aims: In person, during the ACSM 2024 Annual Meeting (May 28 – May 31, 2024). A mutually agreeable 15 minute window  for discussing feedback on the Aims will be determined by each Aims Writer – Aims Reviewer pair.
